Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Supply Operations Technician to work in our REC Fabrication Services department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Research and Education Campus (REC) with every other Friday off. You will perform tasks related to inventory control, acquisition, material handling, packaging, shipping, stock, and spare parts management. You will report directly to the manager of the REC Fabrication Services department. Responsibilities Include:
- Work with high risk property, parts, and nuclear grade material.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and standard business practices to make decisions freely within requirements and process improvements.
- Collaborate across organizational lines to resolve acquisition and quality-related issues regarding the management of inventory and expediate materials.
- Maintain materials inventory by replacing all stock material, spare parts, and specific items as requested by engineers.
- Research requested parts to ensure correct parts are ordered. Initiate purchase in Asset Suite as needed or complete transaction with assigned Purchase Card.
- Receive and process material.
- Create category identification for received items, collaborate with appropriate groups to tag all accountable property, ship and arrange delivery/pickup for end-users.
- Maintain inventory accountability of stock material and other items including catalog maintenance, material receipt and issue transactions, oversight of shelf life and quality assurance requirements.
- Update records in database.
- Perform inventory cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
- Truck and forklift operation may be required. Operate material handling equipment including various forklifts and help with all areas of property distribution and disposal that require contributions of original work while within the prescribed guidelines.
- Perform routine packing of various items.
- Ensure all calibrated equipment is delivered, tracked, and returned to inventory when PM schedule is completed.
- Perform fabrication tasks requiring some experience in the fabrication process.
- Operate fabrication equipment observing manuals and procedures.
- Must be experienced in the use of basic shop tools and equipment such as saws, shears, water jet machines, laser table, plasma cutter, water jet and grinders.
- Help with the work package planning.
- Must have accumulated knowledge in the mechanical, fabrication and material coordination process.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Level 3: High school diploma, or equivalent, and 4 years of related experience.
- Level 4: High school diploma, or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge in the mechanical fabrication and material coordination process.
Job Information:
- The pay range for this position is: Level 3 ($25.79/hr - $42.54/hr) / Level 4 ($30.17/hr - $49.78/hr). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
