Position Details

  • Schedule: 0.5 FTE (20 hours/week) - Has the potential of transitioning into a full time opportunity as Health 360 program grows.
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Salary Range: Starting range $29.42 - $36.77/hour (Where an applicant may fall on the salary range will vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience & education)

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this role is to provide care for patients in the Health 360 program at MNGI. This dietitian may also see general GI patients for visits.



  • Work with the metabolic multidisciplinary team and Director in the planning and provision of clinical services within the Metabolic Service Line/Health 360
  • Plan, organize, and deliver group education sessions to patients enrolled in the Metabolic Program/Health 360
  • Consult patients and their families on dietary plans, nutritional principles, and food selection.
  • Consult with physicians and other care providers regarding nutrition services.
  • Teach individuals and groups about healthy lifestyle habits including promoting a Mediterranean diet, optimizing sleep, moving the body and learning stress reduction techniques.
  • Develop or assist in developing education tools that are specific to GI as assigned
  • Collaborate within the Health 360 Multidisciplinary Team
  • Respond to patient complaints
  • Assist with placing patients in cohorts for group education sessions
  • Metabolic Team Requirements


    • Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
    • Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high quality of service
    • Plan, organize and deliver weekly group education sessions
    • Develop clinical guidelines, protocols and care pathways reflective of evidence-based practice
    • Meal planning in conjunction with meal replacement products and meditations.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics required
  • Experience in community or healthcare setting teaching, monitoring, and advising individuals on improvement to quality of life through healthy eating habits
  • Experience coaching/training other healthcare providers in how to discuss nutrition needs with patients
  • Experience delivering education in a group setting


Preferred Experience:



  • GI experience and knowledge of Metabolic syndrome and NAFLD/NASH


Certifications/Licenses: Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice. Willing to pursue Wisconsin dietitian licensure.

The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to use dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, other clinic equipment, and to possibly perform phlebotomy. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds. Employees may be required to travel to other company locations due to staffing and training needs.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in a clinical environment and may be exposed to hazardous chemicals or conditions including exposure to blood or other body fluids. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and training will be provided. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily. The employee may be required to travel by automobile and exposed to changing weather conditions while performing the duties of this position. While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be alert to conditions that may impact the safety of patients, employees and visitors.
