As a Senior Analyst within the Fixed Income Results team in Los Angeles, you will work as part of a high-functioning department to play a key role in extracting, analyzing, and presenting results and insights to support our fixed income investment process. You will be an integral member of the department, providing leadership, mentorship, and quality assurance for associates and analysts on the team. Additionally, you will work independently on complex assignments, calculating and providing investment results and analytics to internal departments, investment professionals, and external clients and vendors. You will ask the right questions to ensure an understanding of the underlying needs behind complex asks, forming a narrative out of data, and visualizing it in a way that makes sense, is actionable, and aligns with business processes. You will lead, drive or support complex work & projects in support of Capital's long term strategic priorities and Operation's Mission and Vision (Scale Operations, Innovate, Operate Smartly and Focus on Talent), inclusive of process engineering and system implementation initiatives, while aligning stakeholders, managing risks, and establishing standards.

  • You have a bachelor's degree in business, finance, mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science, MIS, or other quantitative field of study.

  • You hold or are working towards a related charter (CIPM, CFA, and/or FRM), or have significant experience in the field, and possess strong industry knowledge. MBA is a plus.

  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience as a proven subject matter expert in Fixed Income, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of key performance, risk, and attribution concepts as well as portfolio analysis with the ability to build new statistical models and derive and present insightful analysis.

  • You possess strong knowledge of industry applications, with expertise and experience with related systems (e.g., Blackrock Aladdin, FactSet Portfolio Analysis, Point, Bloomberg, MorningStar Direct, B-One) and have excellent MS Excel skills (e.g., functions, charting, and pivot tables).

  • You have strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx), and possess highly effective data and analytical skills to support recommendations and achieve the right outcomes.

  • You possess strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business needs/requirements/strategic questions, apply knowledge of investment markets and explain 'the why' behind the results presented.

  • You are a strong project manager and generous collaborator with experience leading large-scale projects, understanding project life cycles, and possess a proven track record driving results to meet strategic priorities. Your leadership and resilience have enabled project success when you've been resourceful with resources like enlisting the help of others, sifted through large data sets, re-prioritized, strategized, tailored communication, embraced conflict, and identified critical issues.

  • You have fine-tuned your communication style to address key needs, influence a diverse audience, and achieve desired results.

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, create clarity, and drive towards effective outcomes.

  • You can anticipate challenges, are proactive and demonstrate sound judgment in resolving complex issues in a practical manner while applying a long-term continuous improvement mindset when appropriate.

  • You are self-driven and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where critical thinking, excellent problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity are essential for success.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $136,858-$218,973

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
