Role:

To handle daily operations for trust client accounts; to assist trust officers with specific trust operational duties, data posting, and balancing; secondary trust operations specialist.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

E 30% Opens new accounts. Reviews cash report to ascertain if any overdrafts need to be covered; assists trust officers with funding new accounts and closing procedures. Prepares and processes paperwork needed to move assets in/out of new/existing accounts.

E 20% Pays bills and posts deposits to officer's client accounts, including wire transfers

E 20% Assists with administration of officer client accounts, daily balancing, and stock transfer duties.

E 10% Assists with fee accruals and/or the settlement of securities trading.

E 10% Performs trust operational duties as assigned by trust officers, responds to trust clients as needed.

E 5% Serves as a backup for Trust Operations, when needed.

N 5% Performs other duties as as assigned.

To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.

To ensure all contact with trust customer, stock transfer company, and other parties completed in a timely , accurate and professional manner.

To complete all records accurately following established department policies and procedures.

7.

To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

8.

To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures; to comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education

A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Other Skills

Excellent communication skills and organizational skills; proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to work well with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or clients and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
