Position Overview:
As a CDL Fuel Truck Driver at Vulcan Materials Company, you will be responsible for supporting our construction crews in Conroe, Texas, by safely and efficiently delivering fuel to equipment and vehicles at job sites. You will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our construction projects by maintaining accurate records of fuel transactions, adhering to safety regulations, and coordinating with construction supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Safely operate a fuel truck to deliver fuel to construction equipment and vehicles at job sites in Conroe, Texas
  • Perform maintenance tasks on the fuel truck, such as refilling fluids and checking tire pressure and changing oil
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the fuel truck to ensure it is in proper working condition
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel transactions, including quantities delivered, locations, and equipment fueled
  • Monitor fuel levels and replenish fuel supplies as needed to support construction operations
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding the handling, storage, and transportation of fuel
  • Communicate effectively with construction supervisors and other team members to coordinate fuel deliveries and prioritize tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the fuel truck and fuel storage areas
  • Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries to job sites
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management to support construction operations


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience performing maintenance tasks such as oil changes on heavy equipment
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement
  • Clean driving record with no recent accidents or violations
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for handling hazardous materials, including fuel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy fuel hoses and equipment
