The Senior Brand Strategist plays a critical role in shaping and driving Empath Health's brand positioning, visibility, and engagement across multiple channels. This role requires a seasoned strategist with a deep understanding of brand development, audience insights, and integrated marketing. By leveraging advanced data analytics, strategic storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration, the Senior Brand Strategist ensures that Empath Health maintains a strong and cohesive brand presence that resonates with colleagues, clients, and the broader community. This role also plays a key part in evolving the brand to meet the organization's growth and long-term strategic objectives.

YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

While the ways that you fulfill these responsibilities will likely evolve, your core responsibilities are:

Manage and evolve Empath Health's brand strategy while overseeing unique subsidiary brands in key market areas.

On average this should be about 25% of your time. Among other things this means we expect you to:

  • Develop strategic framework that strengthens subsidiary brands while ensuring cohesion with the parent brand.
  • Position Empath Health as a trusted leader across diverse communities while tailoring messaging for local relevance.
  • Establish branding best practices for regional subsidiaries to drive consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Lead brand trust-building initiatives to reinforce credibility in both established and emerging markets.

Scale the Empath Health brand while ensuring a localized and community-driven experience.

On average this should be about 25% of your time. Among other things this means we expect you to:

  • Design scalable brand strategies that maintain authenticity and local resonance in each market.
  • Develop brand messaging and storytelling approaches that connect with diverse audiences while maintaining a unified voice.
  • Oversee brand adaptation efforts, ensuring marketing materials align with both corporate objectives and community needs.
  • Implement hyper-local engagement initiatives that strengthen brand affinity at the community level.

Create and manage a strategic roadmap for brand integration in future mergers and acquisitions.

On average this should be about 25% of your time. Among other things this means we expect you to:

  • Develop a comprehensive framework for integrating acquired brands into the Empath Health brand ecosystem.
  • Oversee due diligence assessments to evaluate brand alignment and integration feasibility for future acquisitions.
  • Lead post-merger brand transition efforts to ensure seamless alignment with Empath Health's mission and messaging.
  • Work closely with leadership and operational teams to create strategic brand adoption plans for newly acquired entities.

Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to optimize branding efforts and maximize market impact.

On average this should be about 25% of your time. Among other things this means we expect you to:

  • Leverage predictive analytics to anticipate market shifts and proactively refine branding strategies.
  • Monitor performance metrics to track the success of brand initiatives and make informed adjustments.
  • Oversee competitive analysis and brand benchmarking to ensure Empath Health maintains a differentiated market position.
  • Conduct A/B testing and audience segmentation to optimize engagement and conversion rates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related area is required.
  2. 7-10 years of experience in brand strategy, integrated marketing, or corporate communications, preferably in a mission-driven organization.
  3. Proven experience developing and executing high-level branding strategies that drive measurable impact.
  4. Superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with high proficiency in AP Style.
  5. Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media strategy, and emerging branding trends.
  6. Experience working with HubSpot, Salesforce, Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva, and related platforms is highly recommended.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  8. Experience in leading cross-functional teams, facilitating workshops, and providing strategic brand counsel to leadership.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, which may include conversing on the phone or in person.
  3. Visual acuity to read information on a computer screen and in printed materials.
