Job Summary
Fishbeck is actively seeking a talented leader to serve as the Transportation Business Development Manager for employment in our Columbus, Ohio office location. The successful candidate will have a broad range of transportation project experience in the central Ohio area. This opportunity is best suited for candidates who have experience with staffing, business operations, marketing, and strategic planning in the transportation arena. This position offers opportunities for management and help contribute to the development of new clients in Ohio. Fishbeck is an "All-in-One" firm and the candidate will coordinate cross marketing opportunities between departments and locals in Ohio.
Primary Functions


  • Lead the business development plan for the Ohio transportation group in central Ohio.
  • Maintain existing clients and develop new clients.
  • Cross market all of Fishbeck's services with other departments in OH, MI, and IN.
  • Work with clients on project funding opportunities available in the industry.
  • Evaluate pursuits in central Ohio area that are anticipated with significant growth of the area.
  • Work with closely with marketing department/directors and transportation team leaders on the pursuit of potential projects.
  • Work closely with marketing department and further develop clients for the Ohio traffic group.
  • Assist with technical proposals, SOQ's and RFP's.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of transportation engineering to internal and external clients.


Minimum Physical Requirements

Occasionally exposed to light lifting, sitting, and walking. Will perform duties in the field and will be required to access and maneuver around project sites and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and from project or client sites is required. Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes. Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.

Bachelor of Science

Civil Engineering
Desired Skills/Experience


  • PE license is a plus.
  • 15 + plus years of experience in the industry working on transportation projects.
  • Experience interacting with clients and business development plans.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills are required.
