Role Summary

Rivian Commercial Operations is seeking a Program Manager, New Market Launch to drive initiatives that enable successful entry into new markets. Our team's mission is to develop and implement the central business functions necessary to bring Rivian's electric adventure to customers wherever they live and play.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, design, and execute projects that expand Rivian's delivery capabilities, even in areas without a Rivian service center. You will take a proactive, strategic approach to market entry by identifying operational constraints, streamlining regulatory and permitting processes, and developing creative solutions to scale customer deliveries efficiently.

Success in this role requires strong leadership, independent problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination. You will establish project KPIs, track performance metrics, and report findings to leadership to continuously refine market launch strategies. You thrive in tackling complex challenges with enthusiasm and collaboration, ensuring every market launch meets Rivian's high standards for customer experience and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Support creative solutions to support more customer deliveries where there is no physical footprint, including new delivery lanes into undefined and future markets.
  • Define requirements to operate on national and state/province levels for collecting orders, conducting test drives, and delivering vehicles.
  • Work closely with legal, facilities, customer service, and commercial operations to address policies, regulations, and processes before market entry.
  • Support overcoming market-specific operational constraints (regulatory, legal, permitting) when identified.
  • Anticipate organizational needs and pursue proactive solutions while collaborating with teams like strategy, planning, and service to define timelines and milestones for market entry.
  • Implement and improve processes and tools to support rapidly scaling delivery.
  • Oversee diverse assignments to ensure strategic outcomes, quality metrics, and milestones are met.
  • Leading projects to improve operational efficiency of existing service centers.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast paced and iterative environment
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data-driven insights to determine improvements
  • Proven track record of executing multiple complex projects simultaneously from start to finish
  • Passion for operations and process improvement principles
  • In depth understanding and track record of excellence in in scaling businesses and operations
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management
  • Relevant experience in launching new markets is a plus
  • An innovative, customer-centric mindset and approach
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range Rate for California Based Applicants: 69,000-85,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range Rate for New York Based Applicants: 77,000-94,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: 64,000-79,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
