Associate Principal, Software Engineering

Location:

Duties:

Develop and deliver migration utilities and data automation applications for cloud-native event-driven clearing, risk management and data platform applications. Develop ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) and applications using Python on Flask framework and its various libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy. Develop extract modules using SQL and Python. Develop transformation modules using Python to convert CSV files to Json. Design and consume REST APIs using Apache Kafka and Swagger and secure APIs using Okta token-based authentication scheme using spring security and Python. Develop Java applications using Camel to define routing rules for loading data from Kafka topics to different RESTful APIs. Design and develop data comparison and reconciliation utilities as well as reconciliation reporting utilities. Develop automation using UC4 and other automation tools. Develop data utilities for Clearing, Risk and Data applications. Develop applications to be deployed in Kubernetes environments. Work with AWS foundational services like IAM and S3 buckets to store data and deploy applications into the AWS EC2 instances using Docker images. Manage and communicate status reports and other key metrics. Maintain documentation and process related requirements. Identify and address data processing errors promptly. Partner with internal business users and stakeholders to prioritize and develop requirements. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted. *This position qualifies for The Options Clearing Corporation's Employee Referral Program.*

Education & Experience Required:

Master's degree in CS or related and two (2) years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, Java developer or related. In lieu of a master's degree plus two years of experience, will accept a bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience in the same fields.

Special Skills Required:

$153,900 - $178,200

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
