Position Summary:

CDO Technologies is looking for a skilled Senior System/Network Administrator to join our team, leading internal IT operations and supporting Managed Services for our commercial sector clients. The Senior System/Network Administrator is responsible for directing all internal Information Technology (IT) related activities of the organization and for oversight, deployment, and support of Managed Services for the commercial sector. This includes managing and maintaining corporate systems and network for both internal and external customers, managing all desktop, laptop and other related hardware and software support activities in a corporate environment, and ensuring continuity of computer and telephony services throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination. Most work is completed during regular business hours, but must have availability to be on call and work outside of normal duty hours as customers may require emergency assistance.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation.
  • Responsible for leading, organizing tasks into manageable activities, and daily tasking of team members.
  • Organize, install, and support the organization's computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems, as required.
  • Install network hardware and software and make needed upgrades and repairs
  • Maintain network and computer system security and ensure that all systems are operating correctly
  • Collect data in order to evaluate and optimize network or system performance
  • Ensure that email and data storage networks work properly.
  • Determine and maintain goals of IT within broad outlines provided by the executive management and contribute to the continuity of IT services by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and processes as related to IT and Managed Service activities.
  • Forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to IT and Managed Service operations.
  • Prepare long and short range plans for application selection, systems development and acquisition of the resources needed to support them. Assure responsiveness of long-range plans to corporate objectives.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Management of help desk and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are being met.
  • Maintain communication with all Managed Service customers to ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Monitor hour usage and forecast monthly invoices of Managed Service customers.
  • Maintain depth and coverage for all areas of IT staff responsibility.
  • Resolve issues related to client relations and project quality, risk, and safety
  • Ensure proper documentation and configuration management required of products, network, and projects are complete and accurate.
  • Research, understand, and recommend new technologies.
  • Takes initiative to learn new technologies and skills through formal and informal means.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skill and Knowledge:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years' hands-on experience in related duties.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Sound understanding of current applications and trends in IT.
  • Ability to analyze information related to computer technology to assist in directing company management in the selection of software and hardware to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Strong inter-personal skills, good judgment and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Able to set priorities and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of backup systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Windows Server systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Exchange.
  • Demonstrated experience in window operating systems.
  • Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of Cisco access points, switches, routers, and firewalls, SonicWall firewalls, and Barracuda spam and web filter appliances.
  • Experience with Two-Factor Authentication, Active Directory, and Certificate Services.
  • Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of Virtualization, primarily Hyper-V with some VMware support.
  • Experience with Cisco's IOS and ability to stand up/support Cisco networking equipment.
  • Hands-on technology support experience including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals, in a corporate environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Climb a ladder and install equipment.
  • Work in small and/or confined spaces.
  • Requires bending down and working under desks.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or other technical discipline.
  • Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) assessment framework and assessor certification program.
  • Experience with Veeam software.

CDO's total compensation for each position is set within an established range. The final compensation will be determined by demonstrated skills and experience.
