Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Deliver materials to commercial and construction projects in a safe and efficient manner in the Central Oregon area.
- Operating a truck pulling a flatbed trailer equipped to transport crusher components and heavy equipment to and from jobsites
- Have an operational knowledge of heavy equipment to be transported and able to load and unload equipment from lowboy trailer
- Measure load height, length and width and to tie down equipment using chains and binders
- Have a working knowledge of DOT required hauling permits
- Service and maintain equipment, maintain drivers daily log and legal load limits
- Must be willing to do other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor, including cross-train to run other types of trucks
- May also be required to drive a dump truck hauling crushed rock on occasion
- Always work safely and take action to prevent all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors observed
Minimum Qualifications -
- Previous experience with multi-axel lowboy and equipment
- Possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial driver's license, medical card and clean driving record
- Ability to operate equipment is helpful
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
- Ability to work flexible shifts which include days, nights, weekends and overtime
- Display a professional and courteous attitude toward team members
