Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Integrated Product Team Lead with Control Account Management experience. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and build out detailed technical tasking for new technology development efforts with intimate cognizance of the technical dependencies within the larger system
  • Ability to escalate impediments, identify, manage and mitigate risks and issues
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Control Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, to executive management, stakeholders/customers, peers, and to your teams.

    • Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility
    • Fosters cross-functional collaboration and builds project consensus between Hardware Engineering and SERF Operations management and other technical and support functions.
    • Exceptional communication skills, lead regular communication with project customer, supplier(s), project team, and internal management
    • Test equipment development experience and/or working in a production environment is a plus.
    • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff
    • High level of proficiency in project management
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience with Agile methodologies will help
    • Ability to track metrics, look for patterns, and drive retrospectives
    • Good understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
    • Good understanding of electrical engineering processes
    • Think beyond day-to-day activities and apply systems thinking

While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield Shipboard Electronic Repair facility.

Target salary range: USD $139,189.00/Yr. - USD $154,412.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
