Objective We are seeking a dedicated Level 3-Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises and personnel. Armed Security Officers are required to protect property, including people, information, and classified material, from theft, diversion, sabotage, espionage, unauthorized access and control, and other acts that may impact national security. Armed Security Officers enforce specific laws regarding the protection of government property, traffic control, parking, and making criminal and accident investigations. Essential Functions Read and understand the English language to effectively carry out applied printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Have a command of both the written and spoken English language to properly communicate in person or via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the general public. Maintaining a professional, discreet and courteous demeanor under stressful situations, security personnel routinely encounter. Be able to compose precise short paragraphs, written reports, and other reports in the English language as necessary. Pay Rate: $28.50 hourly Location: Burlington Coat Factory (Retail) Job Duties: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain order and establish a security presence Enforce policies on the property Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance Report any suspicious behavior Aid customers, employees, and visitors as needed Candidate Qualifications: US Citizen At least 21 years of age High School Diploma or Equivalent Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting Must be able to pass a psychological evaluation Proven experience as an Armed Security Officer or relevant position Knowledge of security operations and procedures Ability to operate firearms safely and effectively Experience in loss prevention, surveillance, or law enforcement is a plus Strong conflict customer service skills Must possess a valid armed security guard license Willing to stand 8-12 hours Reliable transportation Knowledge in report writing/experience in report writing Joining our team as an Armed Security Officer offers the opportunity for career growth, competitive pay, and a chance to make a difference in ensuring safety and security.
