Packaging Operator (Spotpak/Blender)

JOB SUMMARY

Kemps has immediate job openings for well-versed machine operators to perform an array of functions including maintaining, breaking down and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operating issues. A few job responsibilities include mixing product for the packaging lines. Proper cleaning of mixing equipment and work areas. Bringing in packaging for filling lines, assisting filler operators with changeovers and cleaning. Proper operation of all case packing equipment, case coders, and automatic palletizing equipment. Conduct changeovers and adjustments on spot paks to meet efficiency needs. Ensure cases are filled and coded properly. Ensure the cup codes are correct. Proper cleaning of spot paks and work areas. Other Duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 11:00PM - 7:00AM (8hrs)

• Basic math skills
• Must have machine knowledge and understanding
• Must have safe work habits and follow Kemps safety rules and policies
• Must have good attendance record
• Must be willing to accept responsibility for quality of mixing product, document case packing and required documentation
• Must be willing to comply with all GMPs, sanitary rules and regulations.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to be able to work in a wet environment
• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
