Position Summary

The Manager, Audience Strategy on the Performance Media & Measurement (PMM) team plays a crucial role in driving impactful results for our CPG clients. This individual will be responsible for stewarding the day-to-day audience strategy across National and Retail programmatic activations, ensuring efficient and effective campaign performance. This requires strong collaboration with internal teams (e.g., planning, analytics, social, programmatic), external partners (e.g., ad tech vendors, data providers), and clients to ensure seamless execution and alignment.

Beyond day-to-day operations, the PMM Manager will also lead enterprise-level test and learn projects. These projects are designed to identify new opportunities, drive innovation in performance marketing, and enable brands to adapt to the ever-evolving media landscape. A deep understanding of the media landscape, strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for driving results are essential for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with client audience managers to define audience inputs, explore alternative targeting strategies, and provide final recommendations for audience segmentation
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of inputs used for audience targeting across National and Retail activations, including programmatic and social media
  • Manage the delivery of audience-related deliverables with team leads, ensuring the accuracy of all inputs and outputs
  • Manage relationships with data providers, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and relevant data for audience targeting
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to leverage Retail partner capabilities to expand audience reach and engagement
  • Ensure that audiences are onboarded correctly across all platforms, provide direction on de-duplication strategies, and oversee the accuracy of audience implementation
  • Take ownership of the audience taxonomy, ensuring its accuracy, consistency, and ongoing maintenance
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders on the audience refresh process, ensuring all partners adhere to agreed-upon timelines to maintain proper audience scale across platforms
  • Identify potential brands for testing new audience strategies, share test parameters with Planning and Media teams for approval, and collaborate and steward execution and analysis of test results
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from brand clients related to audience targeting, providing timely and accurate information and support
  • Itemize existing deliverables and new requests with client audience managers on a recurring basis



Required Skills & Experience

  • Problem Solving: Anticipates, recognizes and clearly defines problems using various techniques to systematically analyze, weigh alternatives and propose solutions.
  • Prioritization: Assesses and ranks issues and tasks in order of importance for taking action
  • Communication: Ability to clearly articulate thoughts, strategy and next steps with internal and external stakeholders through effective oral and written communication.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically about audience targeting, campaign optimization, and the evolving media landscape.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.



Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-6 years of experience in a media related role
  • Experience with digital investment and programmatic media
  • Experience with Retailer data and capabilities is a bonus

The salary range for this position is posted below.
