Position Title: InternDepartment: PBS FoundationCorporate Area: PBS FoundationStatus: Temporary, Full time NonExemptManager Title: Sr. Director, Project Development & Grants ManagementPosition Overview: The project development and grants management team help strategize and write proposals for restricted monies and manages active restricted grants/gifts. We are a part of the PBS Foundation (pbsfoundation.pbs.org) and work with all other corporate areas at PBS. We are looking for an intern to develop and implement new software we are using to manage the restricted gift workflow. This is the first system we have had so we are looking for fresh eyes and a lot of creative input.In this position you will be a part of a small team working with staff from all over PBS. You will get to meet people that work on digital teams, PBS KIDS, general audience programming and more. You will get a good understanding of non-profit development as well as the funding of content. The primary focus of this position is the development of workflow software but through this work, you will need a good understanding of fundraising operations and will join us meetings and take part in developing grant proposals. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Learn Airtable, informational interviews, attend grant check in meetings with PBS teams, data entry, data organization and cleanse, strategize and develop, optimize workflow, create App in Airtable, create user guidelines, and train staff. Other activities include grant check-in meetings, editing proposals, reporting research, etc. Skills Intern Will Acquire
