Position Overview:

The PBS LearningMedia internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to influence and participate in the development of educational resources and initiatives for teachers. The PBS LearningMedia intern will play a pivotal role within the PBS LearningMedia team, a central hub for creating high-quality, media-centric educational content for PreK-12 classrooms. The intern will gain hands-on experience by collaborating directly with the Content and Strategy teams. This collaboration involves supporting the creation and integration of resources into PBS LearningMedia through our content management system. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to engage in various teacher engagement activities associated with the upcoming semi-quincentennial commemoration in 2026.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to key projects and strategic initiatives within the PBS LearningMedia team.

  • Assist in the creation of educational materials and learn about content development practices by helping to upload new resources into the PBS LearningMedia content management system.

  • Work alongside the team to develop a new teacher ambassador program in preparation for the upcoming semi-quincentennial commemoration.

  • Help organize and execute workshops, training sessions (both virtual and in-person), and networking events for educators.

Skills Intern Will Acquire

Additional Information:

Time Commitment: May 27, 2025 - August 15, 2025

Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour
