*Job Overview:* We are seeking an experienced Collections Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both inbound and outbound customer calls to collect payments and resolve account issues, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position requires experience in collections, with a strong preference for automotive, credit card, or mortgage collections.
*Key Responsibilities:* * *Customer Interaction and Payment Collection:* * Make outbound and take inbound calls to/from MBFS/DTFS customers. * Collect payments on both live and terminated accounts via phone payments, quick collect methods, and formal letters, ensuring exceptional customer service. * Resolve outstanding balances from past-due payments, lease-end charges (e.g., mileage, wear and tear, property taxes), deficiency balances from repossessions, or amounts due from total losses. * *Payment Solutions and Follow-Up:* * Negotiate payment arrangements with customers requiring assistance, offering flexible solutions to resolve overdue balances. * Follow up on pending actions or expired payment arrangements to ensure timely resolutions. * *Queue Management:* * Efficiently manage and track a queue of assigned accounts, ensuring all accounts are handled promptly and effectively. * *Skip Tracing and Repossession Coordination:* * Perform skip tracing activities when customer contact is difficult, locate the customer and collateral, and initiate repossession processes when necessary. * *Collaboration and Escalations:* * Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve complex customer issues or complaints in a timely manner. * *Process Improvement:* * Provide feedback and recommendations for improving processes or training materials based on hands-on experience and observations. * *Compliance and Corporate Standards:* * Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements in all customer interactions. *Skills and Qualifications:* * *Required:* * *High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred).* * Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service and/or collections. * *Collections experience is a must.* We are specifically looking for candidates with prior experience in phone-based collections, preferably in auto, credit card, or mortgage sectors. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Experience in accounts receivable and collections, with a solid understanding of financial services processes. * *Preferred:* * *Familiarity with the automotive industry is a plus.* * Experience with financial services or collections in a similar environment. *Key Competencies:* * Collections expertise * Customer service excellence * Negotiation and problem-solving skills * Attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment *Experience Level:* Intermediate-level collections experience required. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
