What You'll Do
As a Senior Accountant you will:
- Manages month-end close calendar and performs monthly close duties including preparing and/or reviewing standard and ad hoc journal entries related to assigned areas of responsibility, which could include fixed assets, leases, intangibles, revenue, equity, and accruals.
- Prepares accurate general ledger account reconciliations and ensures that open items are resolved in a timely manner.
- Supports US fixed assets functions, which may include adding, retiring and transferring assets in the fixed assets subledger, completing a monthly fixed assets roll forward, recording internal labor that is capitalized, and assisting with fixed assets physical count.
- Assists with maintenance of the monthly trial balances, financials, runs consolidation and prepares related journal entries, analysis, and communication to management. This involves becoming a subject matter expert on the GL (General Ledger) system and performing GL maintenance including maintaining the company chart of accounts.
- Participates in the annual external audit by preparing workpapers and assists in preparation of the Audited Financial Statements, including Footnotes, in accordance with US GAAP.
- Provides expertise in US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principals), which involves mentoring team members and other departments, and implementing improvements to internal controls.
- Works on updating current processes and policies to ensure compliance with new accounting guidance as needed.
- Completes special projects as needed which may include M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) integration.
- Maintains related files and records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for behaving in a professional manner both internally and externally in relationships that positively impact the company's reputation and comply with the company's policies and practices. Responsible for being accountable and committed to demonstrating Breg's cultural beliefs and achieving the key results of the company.
- Responsible for promoting Breg's culture within the organization using established tools such as storytelling, providing focused feedback, and recognition. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive excellence in patient care and business solutions.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is preferred.
- 4+ years of Accounting experience is required.
- Knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance is preferred.
- Former Audit and M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and technical skills are required.
- Strong computerized accounting skills and advanced spreadsheet skills; proficiency in the use of Oracle or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is required.

Compensation
Salary Range: $93,400.00 - $100,000.00. Actual compensation is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and business needs. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salary/pay across all US locations. Actual pay is based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographical location, work experience, skill set, relevant trainings and certifications, and business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for a bonus.
