Position Summary:



Supervise and coordinates FGA, HSG, GGT operations, staff, and work activities. Act as the liaison between NFT corporate office and the DOE host site. Perform Operator/ITR duties as necessary. As requested, travel to small quantity sites to perform various operations. Responsible for supervisor administrative duties i.e., timesheet approvals, performance appraisals, etc. for NFT direct reports.

Essential Job Functions (Listing most important First)



  • Ensure all NFT personnel perform their job at a high standard with safety first.
  • Supervise and coordinate FGA, HSG, GGT operations, staff, and work activities.
  • Perform necessary supervisor administrative duties i.e., timesheet approvals, performance appraisals, and employee warning notices.
  • Act as the liaison between NFT corporate office and the DOE host site.
  • Travel to small quantity sites to perform FGA analysis and GGT.
  • Provide SME/OJT expertise as qualified.
  • Conduct sampling and filter change-out on waste containers.
  • Perform analysis of waste containers in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
  • Generate batch data reports (BDR's) that require a review of the BDR as an independent technical reviewer (ITR) in an accurate, precise, and timely manner.
  • Document and log activities according to CCP requirements.
  • Keep training up to date.
  • Support maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of instruments, including calibrations.



Essential Job Requirements:



  • Proficient organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Safety conscious attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures verbatim.
  • Able to do radiological work that may require use of a respirator.
  • Team mentality and ability to work well with multiple different groups.
  • Maintain all training requirements. Ability to train new personnel, track training, and ensure training is scheduled.
  • Ability to use a GC/MS (Agilent preferred).



Qualifications and Education Requirements:



  • High school Diploma or GED. Prefer Chemist degree and/or experience. Prefer experience with the DOE.
  • Training/Qualifications Required: Host site and area training, RAD worker, and Hazwoper. Upon training completion, must be on the list of qualified individuals (LOQI) for FGA, filter change out, SUMMA, and GGT, includes SME/OJT qualifications as necessary for operations.
  • Certifications Required: OSHA General Certification.
