WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Develop, implement, and lead a formal inventory review process for NON VMI distributors in the United States, train the sales force on this process, and collaborate with the VMI team to ensure the VMI process is effective and supports growth.
  • Support the VP of Sales and the pricing team to effectively roll out price increases and any other pricing programs needed.
  • Work with marketing to develop programs to craft end-user pull through our channel partners
  • Collaborate with finance to develop a budget for SSF funds, lead the effective deployment of these funds, and implement return on investment analysis and improvement strategies.
  • Cross-functionally work with IT and finance monthly to ensure POT/POS is handled, support regional and channel managers in resolving issues, and provide systems improvement recommendations.
  • Establish and lead all company distributor policies to meet company objectives and collaborate with finance to review, recommend, and approve distributor policy modifications.
  • Attend all new product review meetings, ensure effective training and rollouts to sales offices and distributors, verify that product management conducts effective product councils, and report to the VP of Sales on their efficiency.
  • Attend all CSIA meetings and develop program strategies for growth to roll out to regional managers/channel partners.
  • Support all National Accounts activities, including developing promotions for Supply Force and Vantage, attending relevant meetings, and collaborating across regions on pricing strategies.
  • Support Account setup in JDE across all channels,s including new locations, address changes, and price appointments
  • Set and communicate performance goals in support of the strategic imperatives.
  • Develop team and facilitate project assignments in line with business and strategic goals.
  • Provide regular feedback and evaluate performance via the performance management process.
  • Assures continual talent evaluation, upgrading, development, and succession planning.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales leadership experience.
  • Ideally, 12+ years in an industrial sales management or a distribution management of technical products' role with 5+ years distributor sales experience in an electrical, electronic, or industrial market managing relationships and conflict at senior level at electrical distributors.
  • 3+ years in a leadership level capacity required.
  • Ability to work 100% from a home office and travel across the US on average 30% of the time. A valid US driver's license is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge associated with selling to multiple types of customers, including distributors, integrators/consultants, engineers, and end users/OEMS.
  • Skills in leading multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, influence, rationale, and tact both internally and externally in a selling environment.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships in the assigned distributor channel to assess trends/conditions and translate these into opportunities to deliver value according to timelines given.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee's work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee's base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.

Total Target Cash Range:

Geographic Region A: $101,400.00 - $188,300.00 + Geographic Region B: $110,600.00 - $205,400.00 + Geographic Region C: $96,300.00 - $178,800.00 +

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
