Position SummaryThe College Assistance Migrant Program and High School Equivalency Program are separate, federally funded programs seeking a dependable, competent, self-motivated, friendly, reliable, and responsible office assistant to assist with day- to-day administrative activities. Under general supervision, office assistants will provide administrative support and customer service, understand and follow specific instructions and internal procedures, positive work ethic, initiative, enthusiasm, and an interest in learning departmental functions. The selected candidates are expected to be detail-oriented, possess integrity and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks or projects to meet projected deadlines. Both programs offer flexible scheduling, offering 15-20 hours per week with opportunities for evening or weekend hours during the academic year. Duties and Responsibilities: Filing, copying, scanning, indexing documents Maintain electronic record keeping Assist in satisfactorily resolving inquiries, Manage Inventory, Deliver interoffice mail to appropriate departmental areas, Maintain calendar of events Perform general accounting data entry, Assist in reserving space or rooms throughout the University, Assist in event planning Assist in recording and calling in food orders Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
This position is for one academic year with possibility of rehire based on eligibility and program needs

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Legible handwriting
  • Professional demeanor
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and One Drive
  • Ability to be organized andprioritize tasks
  • Strong abilityto follow specific instructions
  • Ability to work ina collaborative environment
  • Ability toprioritize projects tomeet one or multiple deadlines

Preferences:

  • CAMP Alumni
  • Work Study eligible and awarded
  • At least a sophomore standing as Spring 2025 semester
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or better
