Summary
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Clinical Educator provides direct patient care and participates in a therapeutic milieu within the scope of defined practice. Successful candidates will provide direct patient care through group and individual counseling in accordance with the current treatment plan and Gunderson Residence milieu treatment procedures.

Essential Functions
The Clinical Educator establishes relationships with patients that are helpful and maintains professional boundaries, facilitates interpersonal effectiveness skills and socialization, de-toxifies complex interpersonal situations that are treatment interfering, observes and describes interpersonal behaviors out loud and without judgment - and models such behavior for CRC colleagues.
-The Clinical Educator participates in leading and co-leading patient groups.
-The Clinical Educator provides and supervises community activities according to needs, provides patients with direction and supervision as needed, and communicates information regarding patient milieu/therapeutic environment to appropriate staff in a timely and professional manner.
-The Clinical Educator meets with appropriate clinical staff to provide an update/report on the milieu.
-Clinical Educators must be able to communicate professionally, clearly, and candidly.
-Observe behaviors and make necessary interventions in order to maintain the safety of all clients and staff.
-Attend weekly staff meetings.
-On-site skills coaching to deal with: Suicidality, Self-injury, and Emotional Dysregulation.
