Overview

Alnylam is seeking a progressive, dynamic, business-focused HR Business Partner to support our Global Rare and Global Medical Affairs businesses. Reporting to the VP, Commercial HR, this HR Business Partner will play a key role in delivering on the people and organizational strategy in partnership with our SVP, Global Rare and other key senior leaders in our Medical Affairs and Commercial organization. This is an exciting time to join Alnylam in its mission to bring a new class of medicine to market as part of a well respected and highly effective HR team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a global organization within biotech.
In this position, the HR Business Partner will:
* Partner with senior leaders to evolve and execute robust people strategies as appropriate per group all with the purpose of driving business objectives.
* Optimize team effectiveness and employee engagement, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative inputs.
* Create organization designs that position Alnylam for both efficient and effective growth globally.
* Focus on leadership effectiveness through identifying top talent and associated development opportunities and ensuring effective plans are in place to continue building leadership capabilities across the Global Rare and Global Medical Affairs organizations.
* Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze talent related data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decision-making.
* Lead select enterprise wide HR initiatives (examples may include succession planning, performance management process, learning & development initiatives)

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partner

Lead HR strategy and execution across the Global Rare organization. Partner with the Director of HR for Medical Affairs to align on the Medical Affairs talent strategy and execution. Ensure alignment between business imperatives and the HR agenda. Partner with senior leaders to determine effective HR solutions to facilitate organizational growth and effectiveness.

Coach
Act as strategic advisor on all aspects of people and leadership including personal development plans, change management, team effectiveness, employee engagement, influencing in a matrix model and organization design.

Process Owner
Run annual HR processes across designated client groups (i.e. compensation planning, performance management, talent review, workforce planning etc.)

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree (i.e. MBA) preferred.
* 8+ years of experience in HR, including senior level HR Business Partner roles required. Experience in HR Centers of Excellence (i.e. Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Employee Relations) preferred
* Successful track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment required.
* Experience supporting US sales and marketing organizations preferred.
