Manufacturing Test Technician

The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking an Manufacturing Test Technician to join our Microcontamination Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for will be responsible for starting, monitoring, and troubleshooting purification systems. Additionally, the technician may assist with final walk-though, inspecting products, while overseeing activities of Jr. level technicians.

What You'll Do:

• Follow Purifier Work Instructions and document any discrepancies.
• Safely facilitate purification systems by securing appropriate gas lines and operate system under specific engineering and quality control.
• Accurately test a variety of complex systems by following instructions utilizing mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection equipment.
• Perform automated and manual Standard Test Procedure (STP), interpret results, and complete paperwork associated with purification system start-up.
• Audit all work instructions and test procedures to ensure that all information is current and accurate.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions while partnering with Engineering, update documentation as necessary.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems by reading schematics, piping and instrumentations diagrams and any technical documentation necessary to perform electrical and mechanical repairs and inform quality/engineering if there are any discrepancies.
• Clear understanding of purification methodology and gaseous laws.
• Understand ladder logic and diagnose electrical circuitry.
• Ability to perform safe work during close inspection (high voltage connections, pressurized gas lines, hot surfaces, etc.).
• Redline documents and record purification system accuracy.
• Follow all Entegris policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to obtain departmental goals.
• Working under pressure of deadlines.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• 7-10 years' experience in a technical role, and/or technical degree or certification.
• Extensive knowledge of electronics and/or mechanical systems.
• Background in high temperature processing equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP or other equivalent ERP (Oracle, JD Edwards) system experience.
• Proficient with Excel, Outlook, and Word programs.
• Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
• Occasionally to ascend and descend ladders and position self in tight spaces.
• Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
• Clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information with others.

• Compensation: $30-32 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
