About This Team:
The goal of the Legal Operations team is to enable our attorneys to focus on the highest value tasks and accelerate the speed and efficiency of legal work. You will work with a diverse group of attorneys around the globe and gain exposure to many different practice areas. This role reports to the Director, Legal Operations and may be located either onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL or remote in the Bay Area in proximity to our San Ramon office.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

1. Technology Management


  • Legal Technology Implementation: Identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology solutions to improve efficiency and productivity, such as e-billing, matter management, and contract management systems.

  • Data Analytics: Utilizing data to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make informed decisions. Perform QA on contract data extracted via AI or by other team members.

  • Knowledge Management: Implementing systems and processes for capturing, storing, and sharing legal knowledge within the department. Administer ongoing data quality initiatives for contract data


2. Process Improvement


  • Workflow Optimization: Analyzing and improving internal workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.

  • Standardization: Developing and implementing standardized processes and procedures for routine legal tasks.

  • Project Management: Managing legal projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.


3. Other Responsibilities


  • Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development and implementation of the legal department's strategic plan.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Create reports and dashboards, leveraging BI tools (e.g., Spotfire) to produce data visualizations and perform data analysis.Developing and reporting on key metrics to track the department's performance and demonstrate value to the organization.

  • Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for legal staff on operational best practices and technology tools.


Required Skills


  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills

  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically using formulas, pivot tables, etc. in spreadsheets

  • Project Management

  • Technology Proficiency

  • Data Analysis

  • Process Improvement

  • Communication and Collaboration


Preferred Skills

  • Experience providing legal support as a paralegal at a law firm or in-house. Legal industry knowledge

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance.
