Position Summary: The Senior Business Director, West, US Sales (2nd line sales management) is responsible for management of half of the US nephrology sales team (East and West). The scope of the job will include leadership of 5-6 Zone Business Directors (1st line sales management) and oversight of key accounts, stakeholders and business partners to ensure collaboration and growth of the business.
Responsibilities: * Fosters a culture of patient-centricity, accountability, collaboration, compliance, fun, and high-performance. * Shapes the environment that provides the right balance of autonomy, support, and development to enable the field team to meet and exceed goals and objectives. * Delivers on performance expectations and achieves revenue goals. * Establishes and implements short and long-range resource requirements, strategies, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for the sales department. * Ensure effective execution and business planning to deliver on performance goals for current and future launches. * Ensures optimal strategic development and implementation of field team development plans and sales training programs to optimize selling skills and virtual engagement skills. * Develops in-depth knowledge of current and future competition and executes sales strategies to effectively compete and achieve patient acquisition and revenue goals. * Participates in cross-functional process to set incentive compensation strategy and plans. * Partners on the development of customer-centric marketing and promotional plans and ensures strategic alignment and execution by the sales organization. * Works with Market Access, Patient Advocacy, and other stakeholders to understand nuances of patient population, specific access challenges, and support access through formulary and reimbursement provision. * Accountable for implementation of Key Account strategy and responsible for enterprise-wide alignment to deliver results for identified key accounts and customers. * Participates in cross-functional process to set targeting and call plan strategy and ensures implementation. * Participates in the goal setting and forecasting process for US Commercial. * Develops strong relationships with KOLs, physicians, private/public payers, academic centers, and other key market stakeholders to foster acceptance of the Company's products. * Recommends and administers policies and procedures to enhance business operations and sales analytics. * Establishes and maintains appropriate departmental budgets.
Education/Experience Requirements: Required * Embodies Travere's core values: Courage, Community Spirit, Patient Focus and Teamwork. * Strong and authentic interest in helping patients. * Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; graduate degree is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered. * Minimum of 12+ years successful sales experience with at least 8+ years of sales leadership within the (bio)pharmaceutical industry. * Demonstrated ability and experience in managing a high performing sales organization. * Entrepreneurial mindset and "hands on" leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage performance, engage and motivate team members, provide coaching, and respond to situations affecting staff. * Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. * Strong experience in exceeding corporate patient acquisition and revenue goals. * Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment. * Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity. * Ability to travel 30-60% domestically
Additional Skills/Experience: Desired * Experience in rare disease or highly specialized product(s). * Experience with products in specialty pharmacy distribution. * Nephrology experience.

Target Base Pay Range: $215,000.00 - $280,000.00
