Posting Summary
Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Business Consultant for the Psychiatry Department withing New Jersey Medical School.

The part-time Business Consultant at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School's Department of Psychiatry will support the mission of the Northern New Jersey Medication-Assisted Treatment Center of Excellence ( NNJ-MATrx- COE). The Business Consultant will work with a multidisciplinary team to fulfill the duties of the Jail MAT grant initiative and provide qualitative research expertise to support ongoing and new research projects within NNJ-MATrx- COE.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Collaborate with NNJ-MATrx-COE program leadership to design research studies that align with the mission and objectives of the program.
  • Implement MOUD educational programs in county jail facilities.
  • Assist with MOUD training for correctional professionals and providers to reduce drug overdose in correctional facilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the NJ COE MAT, warden association meetings, and the courts.
  • Conduct quality improvement for Northern New Jersey correctional facilities on behalf of NJ COE and DHMAS.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to medical providers and associated staff with the goal of expanding access to care for opioid use disorder.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred master's degree) in related field, including public health, data science, psychology, or equitable experience in health sciences.
  • Plus 5-year experience in qualitative /quantitative data analysis, data management, and implementation science.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools.
  • Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical terms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Partnership with correctional facilities to address medication opioid use disorder needs, a plus.
  • Preferred research experience in the public health field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Position requires standing, walking, sitting and using hands and arms 2/3 of the time. Also talking and hearing is required 2/3 of the time.


WORK ENVIRONMENT;

  • Fast-paced, high pressure office environment, must be able to cooperate with a broad spectrum of staff.
