Summary
Brivo is seeking a skilled Installation Specialist to deliver exceptional installation, support, and customer training for Brivo Smart Home and integrated lock systems. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, customer service excellence, and proficiency with power tools. It requires both remote and on-site support and travel of up to 30% is essential for installations and training.
Responsibilities
- Execute Precise Installations: Professionally install and configure Brivo Smart Home devices, including advanced smart lock systems, thermostats, lighting, and related systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Implement and Configure Lock Systems: Install and meticulously configure various lock systems (deadbolt, interconnected, and mortise), guaranteeing proper functionality and robust integration with smart home platforms.
- Utilize Power Tool Proficiency: Employ a range of power tools, including drills, die grinders, and routers, to achieve accurate and efficient installations, adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct Comprehensive Customer Education: Deliver engaging and informative training sessions to customers, empowering them to effectively utilize the Smart Home dashboard, operate smart devices, and navigate the mobile application.
- Provide Expert Technical Support: Respond promptly to technical support inquiries, diagnosing and resolving customer issues related to Smart Home devices, including complex lock-related challenges.
- Optimize Installation and Service Workflows: Proactively schedule and meticulously track all installation and service work, maintaining detailed records and ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate for Product Improvement: Partner closely with the development team to identify recurring customer issues, contribute to solution development, and enhance the overall user experience.
- Perform On-Site Evaluations: Travel to customer locations to evaluate installation sites and determine the optimal approach for product deployment.
- Establish Subject Matter Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Smart Home and Offline Lock project deployments, becoming a go-to resource for technical guidance and best practices.
- Ensure Quality Control During Reseller Deployments: Conduct thorough quality control checks during on-site installations performed by Brivo resellers, verifying adherence to standards and ensuring consistent, high-quality results.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven experience in technical home installation, including lock installation.
- 1+ years of experience providing technical customer support.
- Proficiency in using smartphone applications for pairing hubs with smart devices (locks, thermostats, lights, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in using power tools (drills, die grinders, routers).
- Working knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems, equipment, and applications.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of equipment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for on-site installations and training.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate customers.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Solid technical computer skills.
This full-time position offers a total compensation package ranging from $60,000 to $65,000. Individual compensation packages are based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
