*Desktop Support Technician*
*(Locations in Midtown Manhattan or Jersey City)* Our client is looking for Desktop Support Analysts for a 4 month project to support the upcoming Summer Internship and New Hire program. *Why Work here?* * You'll gain hands-on experience in a real-world technical environment, enhancing your skills in desktop support, troubleshooting, and customer service. * Supporting a major financial institution provides the chance to connect with professionals across various departments, which can be valuable for future career opportunities. * Potential for extension and opportunity for overtime! *Qualifications: * * 3 to 5+ years of Desktop support experience, supporting both remote and onsite users * Experience with troubleshooting Microsoft office 365 * Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10 OS, network connectivity, email issues, VPN, printers * Strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively * Ability to work some overtime during the evenings or weekends as needed. * Candidates do not need to have market data experience, but financial experience and large enterprise experience is a big plus. * *No extended time off during contract period. * *Job Overview:* This initiative involves two phases. Phase 1: supporting 500+ Summer Interns who will be working over the summer before returning to college. In the first few weeks of the project, the Desktop candidates will be profiling, installing and configuring laptops/desktops for the Summer interns. They will be installing proprietary applications and market data applications such as factset and bloomberg. After the first few weeks they will be providing desk side support to the interns. Common issues that may come up revolve around: network connectivity, adding printers, email issues with Outlook and operating system troubleshooting on Windows 10. After this phase ends then the New Hire program will start. For the New Hire program, they will be doing the same function for about 450-500 plus New Hire employees. They will be performing the installs/profiling/configuration for about a month and then will provide desktop support to the new hires until the end of August. Additionally, the team needs to build and preconfigure all assigned laptops (approximately 635 devises) in a timely basis and also provide coverage during the actual distribution and training most likely during the first week in June. The laptop build is critical for the training and summer program. Part of the requirements will be to build and setup assigned devises along with backup devises to avoid any downtime while troubleshooting all reported issues or failures during the actual training. Responsibilities will include configuration of laptops, encryption, remote configuration, installing and deploying applications such as market data applications, verify users accounts, email, etc. *Work Environment* * This is a fast paced, investment banking environment. * This is a corporate environment and the attire will reflect that, slacks and collared shirts. * 1st shift, but evenings and weekends for overtime are encouraged *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
