Scope of Position Responsible for managing the IT people, processes, and tools that support the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC). Position Summary Serves as the area leader in the planning, design, development, and support for the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud for OSUWMC. Manages teams responsible for the engineering, build, installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud environments to ensure levels of stability, reliability and acceptable performance. This is a technical leadership position with required skill sets to manage architects, engineers, and administrators for the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud. Coordinates major initiatives, including multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud with overall business/healthcare solutions. Manages projects involving high business risk, scope and impact to the organization; leads and facilitates strategic projects involved in evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud. Individual serves as a subject matter expert and manager for the networks across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies. Individual provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic network solutions across the Medical Center locations, Data Centers, and Cloud with requirements for evolving information technology/business opportunities. Recognized across the organization for expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex systems problems. Minimum Qualifications College degree in Computer Sciences or related field, and 5 years of experience in IT Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fundamental knowledge of general IT technologies and tools is required. Strong skills in management for people and technology, team building, and communications are required.
