Job Summary (Primary function)
The Director, Marketing develops strategy, communication plans, and executes tactics in the U.S. The Director works collaboratively with key stakeholders including Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Insights, and Regulatory to develop and implement brand and disease area strategies.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

  • May have responsibility to manage other marketing professionals.
  • Perform all company business in accordance with regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure seamless sharing of information, best practices, and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Develop relationships with key external experts in high priority tumor areas.
  • Support competitive intelligence initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic areas, becoming the commercial expert for diverse disease areas.
  • Budget preparation and maintenance.
  • Coordination with Commercial Analysis to incorporate customer insights into programs and materials.
  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with Sales and other key functional areas including Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal.
  • Agency management to develop and implement promotional programs and materials.
  • Develop a strategy to engage and collaborate with industry experts and leaders.
  • Collaborate with key oncology stakeholders including healthcare professionals, hospitals, office staff, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and professional societies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key initiatives including brand and disease strategy, oncology healthcare professional educational programs and materials across multiple marketing channels.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

  • Discover - Develop - Deliver - Collaborate in a team-oriented environment that values diverse perspectives and inclusive practices.
  • Experience with managing relationships with industry experts and influencers.
  • Extensive experience in commercial brand leadership, with a focus on skills and achievements rather than specific years.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively influence and lead change.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for business growth.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and to interact with senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, particularly in hematology, oncology, or inflammation, is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with agencies and other team members.
