DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position the Clerical Assistant 2 will be responsible for verifying name and address, WID number, insurance, plate, and tag information, signatures, liens, notarization, tax liability, authenticity of documents, and other elements for accuracy before entering into the database. You will also determine that the required information, fees, and documents have been properly attached with the correct forms. When needed, you will ensure that the correct fee waiver code is used and properly documented whenever a fee waiver is necessary. It is critical that you produce at least 21 applications per hour with a 2% or less error rate.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
  • Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $37,660 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
