Patient Visit Specialist
Overview Presbyterian is seeking a Patient Visit Specialist to join our team and deliver exceptional care and support during every patient interaction. As a Patient Visit Specialist, you will create a positive patient and family experience by utilizing CARES, AIDET, and EPE tools, addressing complaints, and fostering effective relationships with patients, the public, and healthcare providers. Your responsibilities include reviewing clinician-entered orders in the EHR, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, validating MyChart access, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. You will assist with financial responsibilities, including guiding patients to the Financial Advocacy Center and ensuring prior authorizations are secured for procedures. In addition, you will manage patient communication by accurately documenting and routing telephone messages and guiding patients on the release of information process. Ensuring patient safety is critical, which involves responding promptly to distress, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and following all clinic protocols. Other responsibilities include performing confirmation calls, rescheduling appointments, evaluating provider schedules for efficiency, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
