Company is seeking a Sr. Power BI Consultant who will be responsible for partnering with LOB and functional Finance/Accounting teams in their work to transform and automate manual Excel reporting processes using a range of Microsoft Power Platform tools, with a strong focus on Power BI, Power Query, Power BI data modeling, DAX, MDX, and Power Automate. Many of the finance teams already have PowerBI Dashboards in place, but this Power BI Consultant may be needed to fix performance issues (i.e. Power BI dashboard takes 15 seconds to load, need to figure why and fix it). Need to be strong in back end Power BI optimization. May also be needed to improve overall experience of PowerBI dashboard leveraging the different aspects of the tool. This role will need to bring these capabilities together to develop the right assessment criteria to deploy the right technologies to the right use cases. The goal will be to provide easily accessible and high-quality information to stakeholders with greater business insight to enhance value creation from decision outcomes. This area has thousands of reports and they need to automate more reports instead of building out thousands of individual reports, which is too expensive and too time consuming. Needs to bring in really smart experts in Power Bi, who are advisors. Mixture of consulting and execution. They need to figure out how to create a catalog of report types, delivery accelerators In this role, you will: *Data Transformation and Modeling: Utilize Power Query and Power BI data modeling to clean, transform, and structure data for reporting purposes. *Dashboard and Report Development: Partner with business teams to advise on development of interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards that convey meaningful insights to stakeholders. *DAX and MDX Expertise: Create and optimize DAX and MDX calculations, measures, and queries for complex data analysis and reporting requirements. *Excel to Power BI Migration: Support business teams transform existing manual Excel reports into automated Power BI solutions for improved efficiency. *Automated Data Refresh: Implement scheduled data refresh processes and automate data updates to ensure reports are always up-to-date. *Power Automate Integration: Leverage Power Automate to automate workflows, data extraction, and report distribution. *Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports for efficient data retrieval and enhanced user experience. *Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions that align with business objectives. *Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data transformation, data modeling, and report development processes for reference and training. *Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively interact with reports and dashboards. *Quality Assurance: Develop approach for conducting quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to data governance standards *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $69.54 - $70.00/hr.
