We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Intern to play a key role in revitalizing and updating our current safety programs. This position involves engaging with employees to refine safety procedures and address problems of limited scope. The intern will contribute cross-functionally on field projects or processes while receiving detailed instructions from the Health & Safety Manager. This position will be onsite in our Louisville, CO office location and report to the current Global Services Health & Safety Manager.

What will your summer look like?



  • Assist with the development and implementation of global field policies and practices to mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and for defined field projects.

  • Assist in drafting and updating safety training materials and standard operating procedures.



  • Analyze incident reports to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.



  • Research and propose improvements to current safety programs based on industry best practices.



  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and update emergency response procedures.



  • Support the integration of new technologies or software to streamline safety reporting and compliance tracking.





What will you bring?



  • Must be pursing a degree in Enviornmental, Health & Safety or engineering disciplines or related fields.

    • Preference will be given to candidates who are a Junioror Senioror enrolled in a Master's program.



  • Strong research and analytical skills to assess safety trends and risks.



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with employees at all levels.



  • Ability to take initiative and work independently while following detailed guidance from the Health & Safety Manager.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.



  • Passion for occupational health and safety with a willingness to learn industry standards and best practices.
