More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for Mechanical Engineering Product Sustaining Intern in Peachtree City, Georgia, and/or our Atlanta mid-Town office, with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

  • Test and evaluate light fixtures and various critical electrical/mechanical components; implement factory tests

  • Create prototypes and Proof-of-Concepts

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing

  • Compose executive summaries to communicate issues and resolutions to stakeholders

  • Write ECNs (Engineering Change Notice) to document changes to products

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • A current engineering student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, or related (Junior or Senior desirable)

  • General electrical knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SolidWorks experience a plus

  • A motivated self-starter capable of working independently and in teams with excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Able to work 40 hours per week onsite in Peachtree City, GA and/or mid-town Atlanta, from June 2 through August 22

Pay Rate: $22 - $31 per hour (based on year of study and major)
