Legal Project Specialist

The Legal Team is a small, busy collaborative team that serves as Ascendium's in-house law firm. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic, and collaborative to join our team. The new team member will play a key project-management role in several Legal team initiatives, including potentially the Law for Learners AmeriCorps justice worker program and other access to justice initiatives, litigation, information governance, and other projects. Duties will include project planning, execution and management, litigation tracking and reporting, drafting letters and reports, along with some key administrative functions.

• Five or more years of relevant experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, project manager, or in a role that involved overseeing a significant initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and excel in project management and oversight of multiple initiatives independently and without significant oversight.

• Strong analytic, oral, and written communication skills including
  
  
  
  • writing experience with a solid foundation of grammar rules and
  • training/speaking experience with a knack for engaging diverse groups (previous supervisory and/or event planning experience is a plus).
