About the unit The Family Birth Center is a 12 bed labor/delivery/recover/postpartum (LDRP) unit that provides care to mothers to labor, bond with their baby, and recover in the same room. We are able to support the labor process of mothers at 35 weeks up to post dates. We also have a level one nursery to support our well-born newborns. We have earned state and national recognition for safety, quality, and patient experience and are a Level III trauma center. Scope of work Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.
