How you will make history here... Under the direction of the Product Manager, supervise a line or multiple lines, including the direct supervision of hourly employees, to produce the required volume of products within company standards of quality, cost and safe work procedures. Ensure that employees have all the resources and tools to carry out their job functions safely and efficiently. - Coordinates the daily activities of operations personnel to effectively manage the flow of production. This includes working toward the pursuit of departmental, plant, and company goals for safety, quality, and cost utilizing lean manufacturing skills.
- Leads/Participates in team initiatives directed towards achieving operational safety objectives. Monitor accident trends, complete incident reports, and manage transitional work
- Consistently inspect and monitor work areas for compliance with food safety regulations and make decisions on disposition of questionable product
- Model company policies and consistently apply to all employees. Coach and discipline employees where appropriate
- Ensure proper and accurate reporting on all production and inventory measurements
- Coordinate on-the-job training and evaluate skill level achieved for new hires and job transfers
- Assesses training needs and implements effective training programs to develop hourly employees, including NFPA, HACCP, GMP and Safety regulations and ensure compliance with same.
- Promote teamwork and recognize exceptional performance where appropriate
- Manages the operations improvement process by using facilitation and coaching skills.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities and initiatives. Serves as a resource for cross-functional Daily Direction Setting (DDS) Team.
- Proactively manages safety programs and initiatives; drives a "zero accident, zero lost time" expectation to the production floor.
- Identified opportunities to improve plant performance in relation to financial, safety and food safety.
- Interprets and enforces Company policies and procedures; holds employees fully accountable for complying with these standards. Resolves employee issues, questions, and complaints; maintains a positive employee relations environment.
- Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices
What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of leadership (supervisor, lead, etc.) experience in a manufacturing environment
It would be great if you have... (Nice to Have)
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $65,200-$93,700
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
