Operations General - Continuous Improvement Intern

• Assist in promoting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives throughout the site (5S, 2 Second Lean, Kaizen)
• Participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform time observation studies on the manufacturing process for both OEM and Repair processes.
• Contribute to 5S initiatives and help maintain a clean, standardized, and safe work environment.
• Analyze performance metrics and generate reports for tracking improvement progress.
• Engage with operators, production supervisors, engineering, quality, and leadership to support deployment of process improvements.
• Support projects involving safety and ergonomic improvements.
• Identify and execute solutions to eliminate waste in the processes.
• Motivate and inspire teams to adopt a continuous improvement culture.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering: industrial, mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent.

• Strong interest in process improvement and lean principals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Quality - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
• Quantity - Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner.
• Thoughtful and effective communications skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
• Experience in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

• Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma process improvement preferred.
• Hands-on experience with data collection and analysis.

• Gain hands-on experience in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Work closely with experienced professionals in engineering, operations, and continuous improvement.
• Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and build a strong foundation in lean manufacturing practices.
• Gain hands-on exposure to the airfoil and vane repair process, learning intricacies from the ground up, including practical insights into how repairs are executed at the operational level.
