The Position

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of precast/prestressed concrete projects from contract award through final installation. This role ensures effective communication between internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers to maintain project schedules, quality standards, and profitability. The Project Manager is a key point of contact, ensuring that customer expectations align with production capabilities and field execution.

About the role:



  • Oversees project execution post-sale, from pre-construction through delivery and installation.
  • Communicates with customers and/or customer agents to understand project expectations and timelines. Navigates the quick approval of submittal drawings and handles requests for information and change orders.
  • Conducts pre- and post-construction meetings to verify customer requirements and ensure customer satisfaction with products post-delivery.
  • Communicates project timelines, schedules, and expectations to internal teams.
  • Assists in planning internal production schedules monitors product production progress and changes in job site conditions, and tracks deliveries to job sites.
  • Works closely with internal teams and plant personnel to resolve challenges with production schedules, quality, lead times, and deliveries.
  • Investigates the root-cause of errors with systems or processes and develops/implements corrective actions.
  • Maintains organized project documentation and summarizes weekly project status reports.
  • Provides various reports and analyses as needed.


Qualifications:



  • Associate Degree in Engineering or Business required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred. A combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.


Requirements:



  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) for effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management or Planning.
  • Knowledge of loading/shipping procedures.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, policies, and safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes.
  • Ability to read shop drawings and perform take-offs.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • 5%-15% travel required to job sites and/or Contech facilities.


Preferred:



  • 2-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience in construction management.
  • Heavy haul experience.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • PCI certification and/or experience with PCI-related products.
