Conversion Content Strategist-B2B

Remote, USA Our client helps professionals and employers around the globe with their career search. This client is seeking a strategic Content Strategist to join their team on a contract basis. This role is critical in building new content and transforming our existing product content into various formats (ebooks, whitepapers, demos, webinars) to drive hand raisers to talk to sales. The ideal candidate will have B2B experience in content adaptation, content strategy, and new content creation, ensuring our content effectively captures driving marketing qualified leads. Overall responsibilities:
- Content Strategy: Provide expert advice and guidance on content strategy, ensuring that all content is optimised for lead generation, aligned with campaign objectives, and resonates with our target audience. This includes creating content calendars, setting priorities, developing packages of content and recommending best practices.
- Content Transformation: Oversee the adaptation of existing ungated content and videos late funnel content formats such as ebooks, whitepapers, demos, and webinars. This will involve identifying content that can be repurposed and restructured to meet specific personas and our campaign needs.
- New Content Creation: Lead the development of new content to fill gaps and support specific campaign goals and personas. This may include working with subject matter experts, conducting research, leveraging insights from partner teams like SEO and Research, and ensuring all content is aligned with our brand voice and messaging.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product marketers, campaign managers and other stakeholders to ensure that content needs are met, and that campaigns are supported with high-quality, effective content.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent messaging, tone, and quality across all campaign content, maintaining the highest standards of content creation and adaptation.
- Performance Optimization: Track and analyze the performance of gated content, providing insights and recommendations to improve conversion rates and ROI. This includes staying informed about industry trends and best practices in content marketing.
- Localization / Globalization: The content strategist will oversee the localization of any content repurposed / created or used as part of the overall content mix.
- Efficiency: Streamlining the content creation and adaptation process will allow campaign managers to focus more on execution and strategy, improving overall campaign efficiency.
- Consistency: Ensure that all campaign content is consistent in messaging, tone, and quality, reinforcing our brand identity and improving audience trust.
- ROI Enhancement: By implementing a strategic approach to content creation and with persona-driven 'content packages' by subject area, we expect to see improved conversion rates and a higher return on investment (ROI) for our campaigns.
- Support for Growth: The additional headcount will play a key role in supporting the growth and scalability of our campaign efforts, ensuring we can meet our business objectives and continue to expand our market presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related study
- 5+ years of proven experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a related field, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of content gating, lead generation strategies, and content performance optimization.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Portfolio required
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and translate business goals into effective content strategies.
- Project management experience is a plus
