POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager, Communications plays a critical role in driving the Performance Coatings Group's marketing and business objectives through strategic communication, change management, and executive stakeholder engagement. This role acts as the central hub for marketing communications initiatives, ensuring seamless execution from conception to completion while aligning with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking, executive influence, change management expertise and analytical skills to develop and execute communication programs that enhance brand positioning, support organizational change and engage key stakeholders across a matrixed organization. This role requires a data-driven approach to measure impact, optimize strategies and drive business value.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS



  • Strategic Communications & Executive Stakeholder Engagement

    • Develop and implement communication programs that align with large-scale business-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.
    • Partner closely with senior leaders to develop high-impact communication strategies that drive alignment, engagement and visibility.
    • Lead the development of executive messaging, including internal town halls, financial community presentations and keynotes for industry events.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor, ensuring communication strategies align with business goals, influence decision-making and enhance stakeholder confidence. Leading effective communication tactics, crisis management and reputation-building efforts.
    • Ensure consistent, clear, and engaging storytelling across all marketing and corporate communication channels.
    • Assist with other projects as required to contribute to strategic business programs.



  • Change Management Communications & Employee Experience

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive change management communication plan to drive adoption of new digital tools and business transformation initiatives across a matrixed organization.
    • Use behavioral change and adoption metrics to assess engagement levels and refine strategies for maximum impact.
    • Partner with Sales Excellence, Learning & Development, Digital, Creative Services, Division Marketing teams and internal stakeholders to implement communication strategies that enhance the employee experience and advocacy.
    • Create targeted messaging that supports cultural change, reinforces organizational values, and fosters a positive workplace transformation.
    • Facilitate employee feedback loops, engagement surveys and internal advocacy programs to refine messaging and address concerns.



  • Content Development & Brand Consistency

    • Lead the creation, execution, and optimization of content in collaboration with Creative Services, Digital, Division Marketing teams and external agencies.
    • Develop and manage communication materials for various stakeholders, including employees and executive leadership.
    • Maintain brand integrity and ensure consistency across all internal and external communication touchpoints.
    • Establish best practices for streamlining workflows and enhancing collaboration across marketing teams.



  • Analytics, Insights & Performance Measurement

    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting frameworks to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
    • Leverage tools to track impact and drive data-informed decision-making.
    • Analyze data-driven insights from engagement metrics, employee feedback and adoption rates to optimize strategies.
    • Continuously refine communication approaches based on qualitative and quantitative insights to improve effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing communications or related field.



KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Required:



  • 7+ years of experience in marketing communications, corporate communications or change management, preferably in a B2B marketing environment.
  • Strategic Influence & Leadership - Proven ability to engage, advise, influence and drive collaboration in matrix environment.
  • Change Management Expertise - Strong understanding of change adoption methodologies and behavioral change principles.
  • Employee Engagement & Advocacy - Experience in designing internal communication initiatives that improve employee experience.
  • Excellent Storytelling & Content Development - Ability to craft and implement compelling narratives that align with business objectives.
  • Strong Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership - Experience working across matrixed organizations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure success and optimize communication strategies.
  • Self-motivated & Adaptable - Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Communication Skills - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)



  • 20%



WORK SCHEDULE:



  • Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid schedule: This position is eligible to work in the office three days a week and has the option to work remotely two days a week.



This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.
