Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Duration: 04 Months Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 Job Description: Lead financial accounting and reporting for the Corporate Benefits and Corporate Insurance organizations in client Corporate Finance. General requirements: * Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting and/or Finance. CPA preferred. * 7+ years of work experience in accounting function * General knowledge & understanding of accounting and GAAP. * Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices used in financial record keeping and reporting. * Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred. * Demonstrated experience performing analytical, research and problem solving responsibilities * Advance level proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment * Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. * Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. * Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects. * Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization * Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. * Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. * Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Utilizes a computerized financial management software system to maintain and process financial data and records 2. Utilizes a computerized spreadsheet program for reporting, reconciling, and analyzing data. 3. Reconciles general ledger balance sheet accounts and follows up on discrepancies and prepares reconciling general journal entries 4. Reviews and reconciles bank statements 5. Prepares financial reports 6. Researches and summarizes a variety of financial and budget information to assist accounting staff 7. Prepares and verifies journal vouchers, ledger entries, and varied records and reports 8. Performs a variety of general office support tasks such as: maintaining files, proofreading, and assisting with business partner inquiries 9. Monitors for compliance with company financial policies 10. Performs other related work as required |
