Excelsior Inc., part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Field Service Manager. As a Field Service Manager, you are responsible for Excelsior's Field Service division, focusing on business development, sales, and managing field operations. Key responsibilities include securing sales, managing contracts, scheduling resources, ensuring compliance, supervising the team, and reporting key metrics on sales, efficiency, safety, and profitability

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute daily activities of Field Service labor and assets to maximize efficiency and safety while meeting customer requirements
  • Identify sales opportunities, execute sales planning, customer calls, and meet regular sales targets
  • Manage Field Service business development, key customer relationships, and division growth
  • Prepare and manage documentation to ensure legal compliance and alignment with corporate liability standards
  • Manage job agreements and contracts, acting as an escalation point for field issues
  • Enforce safety standards, conduct site audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
  • Monitor and report key business metrics on labor hours, budget performance, costs, and profitability
  • All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years experience in field construction management, field services, or a related field
  • Excellent understanding of structural construction operations and knowledge of how to read structural plan drawings
  • Experience with construction contracts and workflows and with field service insurance and liability requirements
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and contractors/vendors
  • Proven ability to think creatively to resolve customer issues and maintain a positive attitude under challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and with customers



Salary: $101,112.15 - $151,668.23 annually. A starting salary higher than $101,112.15 annually is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
