BMS Systems Engineer

• Produce drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for building automation system projects.
• Develop BMS software databases, including programming and graphics, based on engineering documents and project specifications.
• Design and support network integration for Internet, Ethernet, BACnet, and Modbus platforms.
• Maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages and update documents using AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, and Word.
• Visit project sites to adjust design sequences, support functional checkouts, and assist with commissioning activities.
• Conduct self-study to stay current with job skills, industry trends, and evolving technologies.
• Foster cooperative working relationships with internal teams, clients, and consulting engineers.
• Provide value engineering recommendations to enhance project outcomes.
• Conduct surveys, generate repair recommendations, and prepare reports for customers.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their professional development.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, or Physics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC/controls industry with a strong interest in building automation and controls.
• Experience with DDC controller programming and third-party device integration using BACnet and Modbus preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical system operations and basic understanding of the construction process.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Automated Logic WebCTRL experience is a plus.
