Overview

Position:Senior Data Center Engineer
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $112,000 - $122,000 per year
Clearance: Active Q Clearance

KeyLogic is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Center Engineer to join our team on a major National Department of Energy Laboratory in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center operations and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the infrastructure.This role involves monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices to maintain a secure and efficient data center environment.

On occasion will require to work flexible hours and support on-call duties and shift work.

Work will be performed on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform:
    • Arista EOS upgrades using both Arista Cloud vision tool set and manually pushing the upgrades.
    • Arista switch replacement and new developments
    • Arista Cloud vision deployment -CVP-modeling and monitoring customized email notifications
    • Arista Cloud vision - build topology maps for all HPC environments and enabled capture of flow data for all devices which allow real time monitoring of traffic flow.
    • Arista Cloud vision - upgrade and maintenance on the CVP appliance.
  • Test configuration changes on the HPC environment virtually in GNS3
  • Convert HPC devices and HPC services to EMS for out of band network access
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades (service packs, patches, security configurations).
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity to implement network security measures.
  • Monitor system resource utilization and assist in capacity planning.
  • Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting for network issues.
  • Adhere to configuration and change management policies.
  • Respond to customer requests related to network services.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA with 3 years job-related experience, in lieu of degree 9 years of job-related experience.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Active DOE Q Clearance

Required Skills:

  • Expert with Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto products.
  • Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching technologies, VLANs, VPNs, and related networking concepts.
  • Experience with Mellanox high availability configuration and deployment.
  • Experience with deployment of subnets and routing protocols with both IPV4 and IPV6.
  • Knowledge with STIG compliance
  • Strong desire to learn new technologies
  • Team Player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
