Directly responsible for the management and accountability of the administration of the full accounting cycle of Corporate financials, Profit & Loss reporting, Corporate Accounting systems ensuring application of sound Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the practices of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, as well as, following the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Senior Vice President, Finance, and Vice President Corporate Accounting appointed over you. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information including CHR properties rebill, post prepaid expenses, end-of-month bank reconciliations for CHRI, CHR Main, Operating, Insurance, and Canadian company accounts, processing commission invoices and allocation of expenses to corresponding properties for rebills.
- Prepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations along with research/reconciliation balance sheet accounts, maintaining/updating balance sheet Excel file, reviewing and posting all batches/journals entered by Crescent Corporate accounting staff
- Prepare and analyze monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Record and maintain fixed asset purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization schedules
- Record and maintain monthly lease schedules and preparation of lease payments, to include utilities as seen appropriate and as directed
- Run, own, and maintain monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting and dashboard data routing through the corporate accounting system, MS Dynamics
- Annually calculate, track, and bill incentive fees
- Manage reporting and maintain variance analysis of corporate budget, forecast, and actual
- Support in compilation of annual and periodic budget and forecast information
- Employee expense report processing, including Concur application
- Assist, along with third party, tax manager, in meeting Tax Compliance including, Annual Corporate Tax Filings and Monthly Sales Tax Filings, including benefits of 401K and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation funding plans
- Prepare and reconcile monthly Good and Service Tax entries
- Reconcile all corporate banking transactions
- Assist with completion of daily and monthly cash flow analysis
- Perform daily routines and month end procedures.
- Manage the accounting for accounts receivable and payables.
- Assist with set-up and maintenance of accounting systems, MS Dynamics
- Respond to various queries and requests from external/internal auditors
- Ensure GAAP standards are being adhered to appropriately, and related documentation
- Required to understand, guide and implement effective internal controls to meet Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Any other directives as assigned by your supervisors

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 10-15 years of related progressive experience in accounting and finance, or related field.
- Must have a college/university degree.
