Job Title: Interim Financial Reporting Manager Client: Retail Company Pay Rate: $85-95/hour Location: Hybrid - On-site in NYC (Tuesdays and Thursdays) Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension) Contract Opportunity Job Overview: Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Manager to join their team for a 3-month contract with the potential for extension. This position will focus on financial statement preparation and the preparation of the 10-Q, including footnotes, during a critical period as Q1 ends in April. The role is hybrid, requiring the consultant to be on-site in New York City on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Key Responsibilities: Financial Statement Preparation: Manage and prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. 10-Q Preparation: Lead the preparation of the 10-Q filing, including detailed footnote disclosures. Supervision: Oversee one direct report, providing guidance and support as needed to meet deadlines and ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting. Qualifications: Experience: Significant experience in financial reporting, particularly with financial statement preparation and SEC filings (10-Q). Education: CPA preferred, but not required. Leadership: Ability to effectively manage and guide a team member. Skills: Strong proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of retail industry financial practices is a plus. Availability: Ability to commit to a hybrid schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays on-site in NYC) for the duration of the contract.
